Are you trying to start a new argument ? ;) Did i said that just using pointers can help your poor program to become awesome ? Pointers are not a secret part of the programming. So you can create your own demo and see the results by yourself.

What's a performance issue? We haven't seen any real code, and we havn't been told how well or poorly the pseudo-code performs.
Using pointers doesn't magically make a program perform better.
