Morning all,
I know Dr. Bob has posted some info on this since starting his blog
a little while back, but I'd like to try writing something very simple that
I can use on my site to handle running threads by topic. This will be more
of a learning experience than anything else and won't have RSS or anything
fancy. All I want to do is set up a Topic journal area that would
automatically get the responder's published info like e-mail address, etc.,
allow them to respond, store responses in a Nexus dB backend, and allow each
viewer to select the topic from a list of topics and then see a list of
responses and responders that can be selected and read/responded to. But as
I might like to eventually turn it into a full-fledged Blogger, I'm not sure
which of the many different methods I should use for this. I was thinking
of ASP. If anyone has done anything like this or has any advice I'd
appreciate any info you can provide on this subject.
