Yes well I already did that...but for this one particular action I
want the user to be able to double-click it or double-click it while holding
the shift Key down. It's just a matter of making these two choices, which
are very related, easier and quicker to implement in one stroke. The user
will also have the option of setting these two related commands up so that
which ever one of them they want to be called by the plain double-click and
vice versa will make their default command easier to make. Its not that
it's absolutely necessary but it is a user's management utility to begin
with so I want to provide every possible means of using it as wanted!
Isn't there some way that I can assign the Key down of either shift
key as another global shortcut that will only do something if used in
conjunction with the trayicon double-click?

Perhaps a silly idea, but why not take a pop-up menu and assign that to
the TrayIcon? That way, the user can right-click on the tray icon and
select all possible actions he or she wants to execute... (I did for one
of my customers - enabling and disabling pop-up menu items when needed).
