With administrative access you can get the ProductID from the
registry. I had used it before in a unit for security purposes, but then
some told me that that ID might be changed by additions to Windows, such as
the update with a service pack. I don't know if this is true or not, and I
don't recall the exact reg entry but do a search under the Windows Keys for
"ProductID" and you'll find it.
