I wouldn't put application data in a document (eg *.doc) created by the
application:
I have used .ini files (see Delphi documentation) or saving
from a record of configuration parameters data to a file which is read on
opening
the app. (eg. *.cfg file)
You can also load the parameters to a stringlist and use its
savetofile/loaftofile methods;
You could look at using the registry (not a method that I would use by
choice);
