You just need to plot more points on the polygon. If you don't have data for more points then just do a least squares fit on your 18 data values to get a polynomial (or other suitable function) of whatever degree is necessary to get a good fit. Once you do that then you can calculate the additional radii for the additional points. You can experiment to find the point spacing necessary to give you an acceptable display. Try each 5 degrees or 2 degrees if 5 is too coarse.
