Regarding my previous post about Joystick control via Delphi, I
forgot to ask if there is anyway one can disconnect a device such as a
Joystick from it's drivers and software so that Windows simply uses it's
default set of drivers, without actually have to uninstall them? For
example, a particular JoyStick device using USB, when plugged in was
automatically registered by Windows XP and I received a message that it had
been detected and was ready for use. The standard win XP dialog for gaming
devices showed it properly and I was able to configure and calibrate just
fine BEFORE I installed it's own software and driver set. Next I installed
it's control software and it's own drivers and they were picked up and are
now in use. What I would like to be able to do is be able to write a script
or small console program that would revert it back to the standard Win XP
setup and then when I want, back to it's own software and drivers. Like a
toggle! And the only way I can find to do something like this is via
completely uninstalling it's own software and drivers! Is there any other
way I can select which I want to use?
