We need to write a utility that can check a computer's antivirus status. By that I mean: Look for several of the most popular antivirus products, see if they are installed, and see if their virus definitions are recent.
Does anyone know of any previous efforts we can build on? I really want a Delphi-based solution. My research into the most popular products has turned up nothing to help. I'm surprised the vendors don't publish the data on how to check their product's status. I guess it is just too competitive out there and we users are the ones that suffer.
