SSH is a terminal emulation protocol which is sometimes used for tunnelling other applications such as FTP. SSL is the Secure Socket Layer (Also known as TLS) which is a general purpose socket layer using encryption. His most known application is HTTP over SSL which is simply named "HTTPS". If FTPS is what you need, ICS-SSL has both FTPS client and server components.
