Alan,
I had looked at this component last year, and it doesn't seem to
have substantially changed. The problem for the way I want to use it is
that like all Delphi components, it requires a form beneath it. What
I'm looking for is a component or technique for providing a slide-out
from the side of the desktop window, almost like the "Gadget Bar" for
Vista.
I've tried an invisible and titlebar-less form behind it in
different configurations, but all of them interfere one way or another
with the desktop and other shortcuts.
I would imagine what I need is a more basic screen-graphic
approach but I don't have any experience in that area. In fact my
experience in graphics itself as a whole is pretty low compared to
everything else mainly because I've tried to concentrate on providing
small business-oriented applications!
Today I' plan on perusing a few older books I've collected on
basic graphics and game programming in Delphi to see if I can come up
with anything, but in the meantime if any ideas come to mind please
share them! Thanx again!
