I am considering developing a program that will, in part, need to output reports on demand (basically, printouts for players and gamemasters of tabletop roleplaying games). Ideally, you'd be able to do graphical layout of the report in the program and be able to include images as well as text and numerical data in the output. However, since this will be a project that I expect to give away for free I wouldn't want to have to pay royalties on the normal reporting components.
Does anyone know of a set of components for layout and generation of reports that would meet these requirements? The one exception may be that I have looked at some of the HTML- and RTF-based components on Torry.net and they don't often fit exactly to a page, which is what I am looking for.
