Does anyone know of a way to find all LPT ports installed on a PC and the I/O address of the ports.
Up to now I've been using a 3rd party unit I found on the internet which uses the registry to obtain this information, and this has worked well for years, but a user has installed a USB based LPT port and it doesn't appear in the usual place in the registry, although Windows sees it as LPT1. I need the physical I/O address of the port as I need this to access the individual pins on the port, using a 3rd party device driver service which allows low level access to ports.
