Tom,

The problem is not one of DBE compatibility with Delphi but of 
compatability with Apollo.  And yes I have tried other DBE versions just 
to see if the Apollo manual warnings were jusified.
It isn't an option to modify the code either, to use only the Borland 
DBE because so much of the code is Apollo specific.

For those unfamiliar with Apollo it was a replacement DBE which included 
a lot of DBase / Clipper functions with Foxpro indexes before they were 
included in the Borland DBE.  It was very useful for Clipper & DOS 
Foxpro programmers transitioning to Delphi, especially if converting DOS 
Clipper applications into Windows.  It was far more powerful and much 
faster than the Borland DBE for processing DBF type files.
