Things have moved on from here but I am still not fully sorted.

Rather than trying to repair the installation I completely removed my
installation, removed all redundent registry references and reinstalled from
my original disk. This got me a partly working IDE - now when I try to run
the IDE it is not finding a number of procedure in dbxCommonDriver100.dbl.
Also the IDE and the start up screens do not reflect the current version I
was using.

Help About reports I have version 11.0.2627.5503 installed but when I run
the check for updates it reports there are no further updates.

I also notice that the IDE is not closing down properly and leaves BDS.exe
running as processes after closing.

CodeGear have a December 2007 update which should be installed but that
requires certain earler updates which I cannot find to be installed.

Any suggestions about where I go from here?

Subject: Help - Iv'e screwed up Delphi 2007

Stupidly I attempted to run what I thought was a previous version of Delphi
2006 on my machine installed with my working version of Delphi 2007.

As the application came up it kept on reporting that it could not find
certain packages and asked if it should attempt to re-load them next time.
Now this is where I went wrong - to many of the popups I choose No.
Needless to say Delphi 2006 didn't work, but to my surprise when I tried to
run my current version od Delphi 2007 it loaded much more quickly -
obviously skipping all the packages it should have been installing. Now I
cannot do anything with it. If I try and open anything up in the IDE or
attempt to start a new project I get a memory access violation.

I have tried repairing Delphi and re-installing from my original disk and
then running updates but to no avail.

Can someone advise me on how I can recover the situation?
