The hosting service at eLists.org is informing me that a change in the server will occur on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 22h00 GMT.
The sequence of events will be as follows. 1. The old server will stop accepting submissions at 22h00. 2. The DNS will be updated to point to the new server. 3. The data will be migrated - I have already done a trial run - it takes about 90 minutes 4. The new server will start accepting submissions. Apart from the 90 to 120 minute interruption in accepting submissions the change should be completely transparent and the DNS update will have the rest of the weekend to propagate.
