Just fixed the second part of my problem. Misaligned breakpoints.
Cut and paste pas file into another editor (I used PsPad as recommend in
web search). Saved pas. Breakpoints work!
Apparently this is something to do with missing / bad crlf entries.
Perhaps from cutting and pasting from web sites (although I don't think
I did in this pas).
Anyway that just leaves me with the permanent break points !
