You mean there is a XE2 update 3 ISO? And if so is this standalone, ie I only
need update 3 or I need the install ISO and the update 3 ISO? Same for Update
4?

If you log into the developer network site there are ISO downloads available
for each version. Download these instead of the "over the wire" installation.

I saved the download files for XE2, but seeing as the first thing that
happened is it then downloaded update 3 which was a complete reinstall, and
Update 4 (according to Jolyon’s blog) looks to be on the way which looks to be
the same – is there a simple way to get a DVD that contains the updates, or a
server that has just the latest install files?

hint for Embarcadero: Updates could have an option to load over the
original download folder etc so that there is an easy way to get a repeating
installation for more than one screen, and for backups. Ideally I would like
to keep the install files on a backup drive or my HD in case of need to do a
reinstall – after all my work stops if Delphi stops working! (it has stopped
me from upgrading a PC in the past too).
