On iOS you can specify a launch image for iOS to display while launching your 
app.

So you can just recompile your iOS app and it will do the same on Android, 
right ?

Yet again, the answer is "No" (a bit of a pattern starting to emerge, eh?).


Android doesn't have any concept of a launch image as such.  There are any 
number of ways of achieving something similar, none of which I have had to 
explore though.  So far startup times haven't been a problem for me, using 
Oxygene.  ;)

Some ideas might be gleaned from this SO question but, as ever, most of the 
help and guidance is unlikely to be easily applied to a FireMonkey app:
