Datacom is expanding our Application Management and Transformation (AM&T) team and has an opening for an additional Senior Delphi Developer.
The Datacom AM&T team exists to provide on-going support for our clients existing applications as well as assisting them in undertaking the transformation of these applications to new technologies and platforms, including .NET and mobile platforms. Some experience or exposure to .NET or mobile development would be beneficial and you should have an active interest in developing skills in these areas. Our client-base covers all industries in NZ and overseas, ensuring a varied working environment and extensive opportunities to challenge and develop your skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive Delphi knowledge and experience as well as being proficient in the use of SQL involving large and complex database systems. In particular they will be well versed in the development and maintenance of applications making extensive use of client dataset features and the BDE. Some exposure to Unix/Linux would be beneficial though not essential. Although based in our office in the Auckland CBD, the role will involve some travel outside of Auckland. You will be expected to work directly and autonomously at all levels in our clients organizations in a professional manner, working with users and business representatives as well as developers, analysts and project managers. In addition to undertaking the usual tasks involving bug fixing and implementing change requests you will also help identify and refine requirements, advise on implementation decisions and assist with troubleshooting and problem solving.
