With rumours like this floating around, who knows? What I would like to think is that it would be Delphi which evolves to support new processor technologies as they evolve. Increasingly, I have been doing apps on win platform in Delphi that previously would only considered on a workstation environment. This means delivering nice user interface as well as acceptable compute times. However, nowadays, there is some looking over the shoulder at Linux instead which Kylix made more attractive. However, not really practical till its replacing windows on desktop. Unfortunately, my worst nightmare may become a necessity - Visual Studio instead. I loathe C++ but might have to finally accept that I will have to use it to create the apps the I want. ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi
