  One more thing that I have thought of.....

  You can get quite spectacular program crashes, freezes etc when working
with IB/FB if you have a mismatch between the version of client library and
server.

  If your client is talking to a number of servers, this could be the
problem. AFAIK there is nothing that can be done excpet to ensure that all
versions are the same.

  IB/FB events are particulary prone to version mismatch problems and can
lock things up quicker than you can say "Watch this..."

  Something to think about.
