Hi Wolfgang,
Unfortunately I think you'll find we're mostly professional
programmers in New Zealand on this list, and I'm not sure you'll find anybody on
the list who's using Delphi 2 (or even 3) any more.
If there are any, maybe they'll shout
out...
Good luck,
Conor

I have bought Delphi 2 Client Server
years ago. It was the time, when Windows 95 was first released and I wanted to
write 32-bit software. But then I have made a very
long pause with
computers and programming and so.
Now I want to
find my way back in programming-world and - I fear - will have to ask
a lot of silly
questions.
In the moment I
have a problem with TDBF a freeware dBase component from Pascal
Ganaye.
The code is
written for Delphi 3 and greater. I am not shure, why Delphi 2 is not
supported. The first
point, the compiler was complaining is the property SIZE in TFileStream etc. In Delphi 2 this property is
readonly. In Delphi 3< this can be
changed in order to truncat the stream.
My Question: Has
this been a bug in Delphi 2, or how can one truncat a stream in Delphi
2?
Wolfgang
