I have done quite a bit with d8 now. Originally I was against the new help system, but having used it for a while it's not that bad, and in fact has everything you need.
There are really two types of d8 app, with the VCL.NET being just like a normal Delphi app and you should be familiar with it out of the box. A Winform app is another kettle of fish, and it took me a while to get my head around things there. One good thing about Winforms and .NET in general, is that any help or articles or samples written in VB.NET or C# are just as relevant to Delphi, as it is talking about the same framework. Anyway, I find the best place to look is always google and google groups, other than that MSDN, or http://bdn.borland.com. Has anyone come across any good books or sites on how to get going forward with D8? I must admit to beeing slight feeling left in the dark with D8 as per preivous discussions that have been on the list about the poor documentation etc. p.s. I HAVE got a lable to say "You Clicked Me" in asp.net :-) Cheer, Jeremy _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi
