I agree. I have done a few sites in Internet Express (Kylix) mainly because
I wanted to use Borland, but it probably wasn't the best approach.

I looked at WebSnap, but it never had a feeling of a finished product, and
its toast as Samuel said.

ASP.NET is great. Is almost worth buying D8 for, although there are free
alternatives.

Don't do it. Websnap is not very good. In fact, websnap is very bad.
Websnap is pretty much dead as far as Borland is concerned (to the best
of my knowledge). This is because practically anything is better than
Websnap. I speak from experience.

ASP.NET is very cool.

The guy who shares my office had done extensive ASP development before
he did any Websnap, and said that ASP (the old ASP) was far quicker to
develop with and provided a much higher quality solution.

I can't really speak for Java, not having used it, but it must be better
than Websnap also.

In summary, don't use Websnap. Websnap is a dog. Kick it.

Subject: [DUG] Creating a WebSnap application

Hi all,

I'm a beginner with web-development and would like to start a WebSnap
app in
D7. According to the Developers Guide (page 35-7) I should be able to
go:

Choose File / New / Other

and then there should be a WebSnap tab, but is not there on my Delphi
GUI
!!!

Any ideas?

John
