Don't
you have a problem returning the result to the calling program if you free the
component on exit?
Stephen
The MonthCalendar is just 1 component I want to
Self free - I want to be able to do this (easily) for different types of
components.
Looks like I will go with creating the Calendar
and setting it invisible on exit & dblclick then set it visible
again as required - the Form can destroy it for me.
This just isn't as clean as self destruction and
re-creation.

Subject: RE: [DUG] OnExit
The JVCL monthcalendar has a mouseleave event and given that the
calendar is basically mouse operated would that suit your
purposes.
What I have found so far ...
When I create the Calendar and SetFocus - the
control gets focus and on leaving the control the onExit event fires
(good so far). the problem is that when I re-enter the control the control
appears to get focus, but control I left retains focus (according to
both the screen and form) as a result the onExit does not
fire.
The Calendar although not officially having
focus allows me to select different days months etc.
Anyone any ideas...
