We use NextRecordSet with the following code under Delphi 5

 

      var

        RecCount : Integer;

        dsBkgLn : TADODataSet; 

        qryBL : TADOQuery;

      begin

        ...

        dsBkgLn := TADODataSet.Create(nil);
        dsBkgLn.Recordset := qryBL.NextRecordset(RecCount);
        ....
