Sorry gang. My reports did print after all. For some reason it was asking for the alternate paper tray and the requests just got spooled up waiting.
At this point, my only problem is why the spooled requests required something other than the default paper tray. I examined this default printer on my Windows machine and it is set to go with the default paper tray. I need to find out if the spooled print job is requiring the wrong paper try due to something in my software, or some vagary of Windows itself. Does anyone have any idea as to what I might be missing here. Like I said, the reports open from the QRP file just fine, but clicking the print button seems to do nothing. I have even looked for an OnPrint event for TQuickReport, but there only seems to be a OnBeforePrint and OnAfterPrint, neither of which provide any illumination on my situation.
