Well, different strokes for different folks I guess. I like the flexibility of C++, even if it does mean I can quite easily hang myself with my own code. I figure that if I /do/ manage to hang myself, I've got no one to blame but myself. It's my code after all.


Conversely, I found Pascal to be too restrictive. I'd already had a firm grounding in C by that time, so I admit to a firm bias.

At the end of the day it's a matter of personal preference.
