Hi all. I was wondering if any of you had anything to add to the below. If so,
please email it to me directly.
Also, if any of you feel strongly enough, would you like to email the government
department on the same matter, or write a letter like myself??

Mylett:
To: The Prime Minister, Helen Clarke.
Info: Rt Hon Winston Peters
        Rt Hon
Rt Hon Paul Swain

Dear Ms Clarke,
It is with great disgust that I type this letter, written concerning the recent
Telecommunications fiasco (19th May) whereby Paul Swain did not allow
copper-wire sharing which is without doubt, not in New Zealanders best interest.
His decision, which limits to better Internet services is secondary to what the
majority of NZ telephone users want. Several colleagues and associates, are
unanimous in disagreeing with it. Other interested parties may contact your
office as well.

Major industry players have stated this decision is a backward step. ie Telstra
and Slingshot. Whilst they would disagree I believe they are speaking with
informed knowledge.

I include an earlier excerpt from Mr Swain reply to me concerning increasing
speed of Heavy Transport on our roads. His comments regarding majority wishes
are ill-founded and incorrect there as well. It is clear to all that either Mr
Swain is out of touch with reality, or has vested interests, or financial gains
to be made out of both of those scenarios.

I respectfully request that your office carry out an investigation forthwith on
the reliability and integrity of Mr Swain, to ensure that he is carrying out his
duties without any corrupt practices, and correct the uneven Telecommunications
playing field.
Yours sincerely,

Alistair Grant George
