hi.

I have a stringgrid and a button on a form, and when I press the button
I want to change the current cell to a different one that the cursor
currently is.

Now I am doing this by setting the stringgrid.row and stringgrid.col
properties and this is not a problem. BUT...

When I do this nothing can be entered in that cell unless I click on it
with the mouse. Im looking at implementing an automated process so this
is no good, but I cant find out how to trigger a mouse click on that
cell automatically when the grid doesnt even have focus.

Is there a procedure that will translate a cell reference to a screen
co-ordinate (cause then I think I could trigger the on mouse down
event), but I cant retrieve the right information.

Has anyone done this before or is willing to impart their knowledge to
me?

Cheers

Chris
