Hi guys
Yay, I have been allowed to open my Delphi again and have a rest from the wicked wicked world of Visual Basic.NET (*hating it just quietly*)

I have a stringlist which contains html to construct a page(report) dependent on criteria (webbroker cgi - Delphi6)

I have a requirement now to be able to provide a button on the report to enable a user to export the data in the report into a csv file

Ideas to acheive this include

re-constructing the stringlist and replacing (some of the) html elements with delimiters
Always creating the delimited stringlist and only saving if the user chooses
running the query again on click of the button and starting from scratch to create the csv file
Somehow (maybe _javascript_ can acheive this) selecting all the text on the browser page and "pasting" into excel?

Does anyone have a better idea? The floor is yours

Tracey
