If it loses time when switched off maybe motherboard battery has died. Dunno about the other probs.

My PC has started losing time - big time. To the point where mouse cursor operation is jittery. Even I can type way ahead of the buffer, and although it's not often I do it, playing music files straight off the HD using WinAmp causes it to haemorrhage and miss almost a chorus. The clock has lost an hour over the last 24.
