We have a Slow machine (celeron 400, 512MB Ram, 7200rpm HDD, on board video) that we could sit and watch it draw on components. Upgrading the video card to a GeForce II improved redraw considerably. Interestingly we have a duplicate machine (sans Ge Force II) running Windows 2000 that is about 300% faster than the XP professional machine.
