Yes. I have done this many time, and depending on wether you are using .NET or win32, there are a number of good Components out there.
However, on win32 I usually just install the ODBC links, and then Connect via ADO. I will send the exact name etc of the .NET components I use, once I can get access to them. (Laptop Drive dies a few days agos etc)...
