Your point?

It IS the latest version of Delphi. It is also touted as the upgrade path
that leads Delphi developers on into the .NET world. I do believe Borland
are wanting us to upgrade to it...

One could reasonably expect to be able to compile, with a bit of work, old
Delphi applications in Delphi 2005. One could also reasonably expect that
the IDE would be at least vaguely similar and in the areas where it isn't
similar then there should be a reasonable case that it is better than the
old version.

>From what I have heard Delphi 2005 has some issues but I am also hopeful
that it will get there. As I have said earlier we will be waiting for at
least the first patch, probably the second too.
