I have installed Update 1 and it does help on the memory front, and from all account on the various Borland newgroups it help lots of other stuff too. Unfortunately the show stopping bug I have with the type library editor and it somehow opening all the forms in our project, and thus blowing the 10,000 user handle limit, is still present. The good news is that Chris Bensen http://blogs.borland.com/cbensen/ has been in contact with me and has duplicated the bug and was working on figuring out what was going on. Hopefully his fix will go into the Update 2 that is assumed to be in progress. The concensus on the newsgroups appears to be that if Delphi 2005 works for you then things are now great, but if you have encounted one of the many remaining IDE issues, then you are out of luck and have to wait for the next update.
