I haven't had any problems porting simple apps from D7 to 2005, and the IDE
speed doesn't seem to be an issue.

However, after closing a running app in the IDE the IDE quite often hangs
for minutes on end, and stops all mouse and keyboard for all other running
apps. The only part of Windows (XP Pro) that will work in this state is
ctrl-alt-del.

The IDE also quite often closes suddenly without an exception at random
times and may hang or throw an exception when you try to close it down
normally.

Subject: Re: [DUG] Anyone tried Update 1?

It's too early for me to be specific about the problems, but there are
definitely exceptions and access violations occurring where they don't with
Delphi 7. Also I'm finding Delphi 2005 painfully slow to work with, probably

due to the way code completion and popup help works.

I agree that we normally only hear about peoples' problems, but it would be
nice to get a concensus on how good this new product is.
