Thanks for your help Trevor, it's all working lovely now - rebuilt the database using the ASCII character set as the collate type.

If you are after a good map then I would recommend www.tumonz.co.nz - they say it's the best one out there - and very affordable! ;)

BTW, did you actually pay for something and not receive it back when you rallying? If so, let me know.

Cheers,
Phil.

Phil,

I actually think I could sort this all out if you would just give me a link to where I could download a wonderful map database.

I tried to buy one a few years ago when I was rallying, but never got the goodies (your shopping cart was obviously suspect).

I am (of course) being facetious, yet remain ever optimistic.

Thanks Trevor - I tried copying over the fbintl.dll, and also tried renaming it gdsintl.dll but neither worked. Are there other files that I should have?

Cheers,
Phil.

Phil,

I can almost guarantee that the collation problem has to do with not having the correct language drivers in the intl directory.  That is where collations are stored.  Don’t re-create your database, just figure out which drivers you need.

Your demo worked fine, it is my app that has that error. I think it's something to do with the collate type - may have to recreate the database using a different collate type.

Cheers,
Phil.
