No, not really :-) Still not obvious and the language should handle it
or make it impossible to stuff up. Seeing that I have never used
interface before, and the D2005 help is utter rubbish and the code I did
find to look at was not doing declaring the variable as an interface either.

You don't seem to be getting an interface to TTest so it is being
used just
like a normal object instance. As far as I can determine if you get an
interface to the object then it will be reference counted correctly.
