Partial blurb from the website:

"The language used for any given project is starting to loose it's importance and becoming just a personal choice with the competition amongst tools vendors heating up as a result.  With their most recent version of Delphi, Borland is now competing head on with Microsoft in their own .NET space.  This can only be a good thing.  Most software groups just go with VS.NET without even thinking about alternatives probably because most are not even aware that decent ones exist.  Nahum's demo will take a whirlwind tour through the Delphi 2005 IDE to demonstrate it's productivity enhancing tools and rapid application development+design features.

<snip>"

So not language based but rather tools based - I'm not a massive expect in ECO or the webstuff but I try and briefly pop it up.  Also this is not a demo I'd do to a Delphi group so as a Delphi person don't expect any fabulously new insight.  Although something I have noticed over the years is that two people can use the delphi IDE in completely different ways.

So are you going to be concentrating on C# or Delphi?

Looking forward to it...

Given the number of questions/dicussion recently about D2005 I thought I mention that I'll be giving a presentation of D2005 to the Christchruch .NET user group first Wednesday next month (6/7)

So if anyone here in Chch hasn't seen it and wants to then bowl on along - goto to the website for a desc of what I'm doing and to register for the event.  I should mention though that I'm aiming this at a bunch of people that hasn't seen Delphi before and from a 'this is the IDE and how it helps you' prospective.  I'm not trying to do a sales pitch of it - just letting them know that there is an alternative to VS.NET for the C# projects.
