Those are the tough ones to consider.
1) Chrome ( works on windows & mono, pascal based ) for all visual apps
2) Java ( for all non-visual server based app)
I almost never write 2-tier client to database applications. I almost
always have the database (S) and a non-visual middleman busieness object
server, which communicates in interacts with the various gui modules. So
I'f I was moving I would probably use java for a flexible server
platform, and Chrome for a flexible client that works on MAC and
Windows. I use proprietary messaging protocols over TCP so the Java/
Delphi or Chrome is not a large barrier compared to Java Beans or COM.

If you had to immediately stop using Delphi, what would would you use
to develop:
1) Windows GUIs
2) Web app GUIs (if you do)
3) Middleware (eg, ISAPI, ASP, custom TCP etc etc)
4) Server / Database
