There is, I dont remember what I had to but it was not pretty.
There were two parts to the solution. One to set up the printer/driver suitably. The other to use the right api calls to send a character at a time. I eventually wrote a threaded compnent to do this for me. If I get a breather tomorrow at work, I will have a look.
