John, As Rohit said, just get into it. The Virtual TreeView is an amazing piece of code, but I'll admit that its learning curve is steep.
The idea of an editor being surfaced only through an interface is incredibly powerful. I have a situation where entry to an edit on the tree will bring up another tree (the relationship is complex). Play with it. Write some editors. Figure out what you can do with the small records that each node has attached. Try putting classes there. With Virtual TreeView, the world is your oyster, but remember that that expression means "is hard to open but probably worth it" Trevor -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Bird Sent: Tuesday, 13 September 2005 4:16 p.m. To: 'NZ Borland Developers Group - Delphi List' Subject: [DUG] Virtual Tree View Anyone got references other than the Web Site for reading/manual stuff for Virtual Tree View.. Particularly using as a grid. What it can do looks terrific, found it so far quite hard to learn.
