I should also add that ADUG (Australian Delphi users group) does a symposium once a year that usually gets a speaker out to do a couple of presentations.
This year it was some guy called Danny Thorpe <g>. Previously it was Danny and some guys from Falafal. It goes for a day. The adug site is www.adug.org.au and there is plenty of notice to register. Not sure who is in their sights for next year though. Joining ADUG is also worthwhile if you are looking at purchasing some software. Many companies offer full time discounts to ADUG members or even special offers to members (Help and Manual (can't recall the deal) and InstallAware (30% off) are 2 current examples of special offers). You also get a great discount on FinalBuilder (www.finalbuilder.com) alone which is greater than the cost of membership and Final Builder is a great product. It is $60 to join for the first year (incl. $10 joining fee) and then it reduces by $5 each subsequent year until you get to $30 I think. Also the events help are cheaper for members and they get first chance to register. There is also a mailing list for everyone to read or for members to post on although the usefulness of it varies almost on a daily basis! cheers, Jeremy On 9/16/05, Sean Cross - CRM <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Are Borland still doing conferences in Oz? > > Regards > > Sean > ------------------------- > Sean Cross > CRM > 06 835 5868 > 021 270 3466 > > _______________________________________________ > Delphi mailing list > [email protected] > http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi > _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi
