How are the motors connected to the PC?
You can get stepper motor cards that contain all the electronics and some
smarts to drive the motors. They come with drivers and it is a matter of
interfacing D5 with the drivers - a lot easier than designing it all
yourself.

Subject: [DUG] Control of stepper motors
Hi to all,
Using D5
Can anyone recommend a good site that shows how to control a stepper motor
from Delphi.
I actually need to control 3 motors across all 3 axis with communication
to the stepper motors being via a serial port.
Could anyone recommend any control components ?
Where do I start with this ?
