Not always in my case. When all is working fine, the CPU monitor
actually shows up immediately the Task Manager is opened, and is always
visible whether it's minimized or not. When it's not working right,
there is no tray icon, and if I minimize it, it disappears completely,
yet it is still running.

And I've got the "Hide inactive icons" disabled.

It appears to be a bug in the Task Manager. Currently it's working fine
on 1 of my PC's but not the other.

You are having a bad week arent you?

if you close the task manager. it is closed. if you minimize the
taskmanger, it minimises to
the tray and shows the cpu monitor....
