I’m having enormous trouble getting
Delphi 2006 working. I stare at my computer, click the mouse and hit the
keyboard but nothing happens. That may have something to do with the
fact that it hasn’t ARRIVED!!! Hint, hint. Anyone else still waiting for their copy
to arrive? They know I pre-ordered it because I got
the email about the official C++ functionality being delayed. However www.findmyorder.com just lists the order
as “Order In Process” and has shown the same message for some time

with it so far? I have just been doing test projects so
far, but looks real cool, no problems except that almost everything is moved
from D5 and I am still finding where they hid them :), still
haven't found the official way to hide the Object Explorer window once it
covers everything else, Help is very different but seems ok so far. Imported a small Win32 Windows grep like
search app that uses TFindFile, worked well, looked faster than D5.
However though compiles and runs I haven't figure out how to view the
form. Give me time....I'm in a new boat in a new sea... Anyone elses comments? Question - I presume there is a way to
change a forms border colour from the default dark blue eg to light
grey.......as lots of modern applications including the IDE do it ....how do I
do that? John |
