I had a similar thing when I added simple packages (FindFile and JBCLColorButton).....I had some instructions that gave me the broad directions, but I ended up with a component project file under
C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\Borland Studio Projects\Bpl Which is not where I wanted it - I have a component folder. If anyone has real clear instructions on installing components with d2005/2006 they would be appreciated. Some immediate annoyances. "My Documents" is pointed to a server disk. (H:\). I note that D2006 creates BDS project directory there automatically. JCL, JVCL installs seriously want the BPL to install there. I am slightly leery about bpls on a network drive but okay. Open an old dpk to start moving other components into D2006. Doing this and it fails to compile because its trying to store BPL in c:\program files\Borland\BDS\4.0\Projects\bpl which doesn't exist. can someone give me some pointers are to where BDS is getting the directories and what I override to establish some consistancies?? ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi
