Hmmm, and it the one that seems to work best, although if the background
changes the form doesn't reflect this.
Does anyone know how to grab what is under a form as a bitmap?
Currently I'm capturing the area under the form before it shows, and
setting this as the background of the form, then showing it. I guess I
could hide the form, capture the background and show it again, but this
would introduce flickering - can anyone think of anything better?

It can be done on all windows versions, not just XP:
1) Take a screen capture of the screen and store in an offscreen bitmap
