Either I don't understand your answer or you don't understand my question - there is no image editor option in D2006 Pro  (not one I've found yet) - not in the Tools menu, or a resource editor.  And the Help doesn't give any hints, nor Google.  And the Project Application Icon options does not show the icon filename or where it was got from - it just shows the image, and there is no option to save one that is already loaded  (If I could save the default one from a new 2006 project there would be no need to track the original file down)

The only vaguely relevant info I turned up in Google was from Delphi.About.Com where Zarko says:

Note: When we save a Delphi project to the disk, Delphi automatically creates one .RES file that has the same name as the project (if nothing else, the main icon of the project is inside). Although we can alter this resource file, this is not advisable.

Its in the project .res file. Use Delphi's image editor to open the res and change the icon.

You should be able to get the new icon from a new D2006 projects res file.

Subject: [DUG] Application Icon

I have a project orginally created with Delphi 5, and when loaded into D2006 still has the default D5 Application icon.  I would like to remove this and replace it with the default D2006 icon - is there any way either to remove the old default (so it then picks up the default D2006 icon) or where is the default D2006 icon file?
